Fenway Follies

Twins 4, Red Sox 6

D'oh!  It looked like this one was all sewn up, but no!  We thought the Twins were going to walk away with a win at Fenway tonight, but J.D. Drew, the greedy S.O.B., hit that three run homer off our fine new pitcher, Nick Blackburn.  We're not even mad at him, 'cuz he's a newbie, he's learning, and he plays for the Twins, so he automatically gets the benefit of the doubt.  We really wish that Carlos Silva could've ended his season with a win instead of a no-decision.  Bummer.  We also wonder why he didn't come out to pitch the 7th inning. He was pitching a good game. He pitched himself into jams, but right back out. And where was Nicky? That really annoyed me.

Yay for Joey for hitting his 7th homerun of the year, and congratulations to Rondell White too.  Becca and I were bellyaching about him playing.  "Where's Kubel?" we said, and then 2 seconds later, BOOM! he launched a homerun way over the left field wall.  We felt a wee bit sheepish after that.

Sigh.  This is just kind of how this season has gone at times.  Seems like everything's going great, and then something annoyingly craptacular like this happens. Phooey!

Greedy jerks, greedy fartknockers, greedy overpaid egomaniacs.  The Sox DID NOT need to win this game.  What might this get them?  Home field advantage?  Big whoop.

We love the Twins no matter what.  We wish were they would've had a better year.  No matter how they're playing though,  rooting for them is fun, and always interesting.  Man!  What are we going to do with our time after work now??  Damned if we know.
