Maladroit Pitching

Twins 3  White Sox 8

The best thing I can say about this game is that at least it was not a shutout.  No matter who pitched today the White Sox batters had our number. Once Scott Baker was out of the game after the 2nd inning I figured that was the beginning of what would be a very long and grueling game.  I still sat and watched it while I balanced my checkbook and bummed around the apartment in hopes the Twins would have a monster comeback.

Jason Kubel is the guy for left field in 2008.  He is a power hitter and I think he will just get better and better.  I know his knees were a problem for the last couple of seasons but he seems to be 100% or at least close to it.  His home run today was about the only bright spot for the Twins today.

Darin Erstad from the White Sox is a dink.  He was being interviewed by Marney after the game and she asked him if it was hard to be ready for an early day game following a night game. His response was, "It doesn't matter when you play in the Metrodome because you can't tell what time of day it is anyway."  I could have let it go if he had been kidding but he did not say it in a kidding way at all.  He has no business having a superiority complex when he is playing for a team that in will probably be in last place at season's end.

Dink!

The Twins last home game of the whole year is tomorrow. That makes me sad. I want to go but I don't know if I will yet. I should because it will probably be the last time I ever get to see Torii playing in a Twins uniform.

It'll be a drag to see him go.
