Milwaukee - Part 2
Friday game: Twins 10, Brewers 2
Saturday game: Twins 9, Brewers 4Becca and I think that next summer we should go to all the games the Twins play on the road. They haven’t lost a single road game we’ve been to. The only problem is, how do we pay the bills and afford hotels and such while we’re on the road? Perhaps the Twins could pay all our expenses for the summer. I mean, come on, we greatly improve their odds when we go to their road games. Four games is a pretty convincing sample size, right? I think they could afford to pay all our bills if it meant they’d be 81 and 0 on the road.
Ok, we’re not seriously that delusional. It sure is fun to fantasize though. For a photographic record of our trip, click here.
We took the bus to Miller Park on Friday. We hopped on the first one that came by, around 5:15, because we wanted to get to the ballpark early. We had a grand time watching the Twins practice. We saw lots of balls go over the fence in batting practice. We saw Gardy hit grounders to his fielders. But mostly, we saw a bunch of baseball players standing around BS’ing with each other. We love baseball so much, and it’s impossible for us to get bored at the ballpark, even when it’s just a bunch of guys doing a whole lotta nothing.
The game on Friday night was flippin’ awesome. It was one of the best games we’ve ever seen in person. We sat behind the third base line on the lower level, so we could see everything. There were a bunch of obnoxious, slightly drunk Twins fans sitting in our section. They were funny drunks. And they were LOUD. I bet it was audible on TV when they were hollering, “Let’s go Slowey!” Speaking of Slowey, he was amazing on Friday night. He pitched like an ace AND got some amazing hits. I thought it was so funny when he hit the 2 RBI single after the Brewers walked Mike Lamb intentionally. Who would think the pitcher would be a threat at the plate, especially an AL one? The only thing that would’ve been better is if he had hit a grand slam.
More to follow…we can’t share all the details of the trip in one blog entry. We want to keep you coming back for more!

I soooo wish I could have been there in the front row of that game to see Kevin Slowey kick butt. Unfortunatly Milwaukee is only 6+ hours from my home, so It would be kinda hard to get there.
Thanks for the fun pictures and details. The pictures came through great. Sounds like you all had a fantastic time and good memories for the lucky Twin’s Kid.
Would have been fun to see Slowey. He has a great memory too, not to mention the balls to send home to his father. (hmmmmmmmm, did that sound wrong?) Well, you ladies know what I meant.
