Two More Hit The Road
So long and best wishes to Barty and Matty. I’ll miss them very much!
This is going to sound really immature but this news ruined my day. I wear scrubs to work and I made a point of wearing my black scrubs to mourn Barty and Matty going to play for the Rays.
Here’s my problem: I get too emotional about it. Baseball is a business. Duh! I get that. I love baseball but mostly I really like all the guys that were on the team in 2006 and 2007. My big fear is that watching Twins baseball won’t be as fun for me with so many of the players I like gone!
Here’s my advice in case anyone is interested: If you want to feel bad because your favorite player is gone, go ahead. I’ve always been a big believer in that you can’t help how you feel. If people give you a hard time about it, just ignore them. Mean people suck.

I hope Barty and Matty kick ass in Tampa Bay!

I know exactly what you mean! I feel bummed and pissed at the same time. It is not as if I would actually stop watching the Twins but it makes me want to protest in front of the Dome.

Kayla, I feel for you. When I go back to work I’ll hear the same thing about Torii. On Tuesday the guy who will really razz me was gone. See if I’ll share my sports section with him again-haha.
I haven’t talked to my daughter since the Barty news, but she will feel the same way you do.
Good advice from you today Becca. I feel the same way that you do. I know it is a business, yet my fun is getting to know the players too. I’ll get over the changes, but why so darn many at once?! So will whine about it a bit and then get over it. Just don’t feel as enthused.
Our blog readers are awesome. You guys really understand and appreciate where Tricia and I are coming from. It is great that we all have each other to help us cope with all these changes with the Twins.

i think it is better if you can write more.
