Joe Mauer will not need hernia surgery. Hurray! That’s good news. Now he can relax for a while, and then get cookin’ on his offseason workouts so he can be ready to kick ass next spring.
Happy 50th birthday, Gardy. We all wish you were celebrating your birthday and managing the first 2007 World Series game. Maybe next year.

As I was driving home for lunch today, I saw a policeman leading a guy to the cop car in handcuffs. The handcuffee looked harmless enough. Tall and skinny, balding on top. Who knows, though? Looks can be deceiving. My imagination is running wild. Maybe he’s a wanted bank robber. Maybe he traffics meth from Mexico. The real reason he was arrested is probably a lot less nefarious that that. Probably just unpaid parking tickets or something.

Josh Beckett is a tool. I liked him when he pitched for the Marlins but his head is way too big. Maybe an ass kicking by the Rockies will knock him back down.

Go Rockies, I agree. I absolutely hate the Red Sox, so after the Indians choked on me, I figured the Rockies are the next best thing. Yes.
