New Twins Schedule!
Mark your calendars, Twins fans! Joey, Justin, Barty, Nicky and Torii (I hope!!) return for another great season of Twins baseball starting on March 31, 2008. The tenative schedule for next year just came out and it looks good! You can check out the full schedule at twinsbaseball.com but I will share what I find to be the most awesome things.
-The Twins start and finish the season at home at the Metrodome. That is great. I hate having them end the season on the road because the baseball season feels sooner than it really is. I don’t like having wait for home opener at the Metrodome because we wait so long for it to start. Twins fans really lucked out this year!
-The Twins are going to be in town on July 29th, my birthday! That made me smile. The Twins will be playing the White Sox and those games are always a hoot.
-The Twins will be in Kansas City for a weekend series August 8-10. I’m hoping it works out that Tricia, the Twins Kid, our parents will be able to go. Our Dad’s birthday is August 8 so that will be especially cool! Plus people in Kansas City are so nice. I really want to see more of the city next time and go to more than just one game.
-The Evil Empire will be in town twice! Cool! As much as I dread the Twins having to play them because they normally lose those games turn out a huge crowd and they make for great blog material! I like mocking the Yankees.
I know we have a long cold winter to endure before we get to enjoy Twins baseball again, but now we have dates to look forward to.
Peace out!

I am just about to post my blog about the new schedule too!
I am kind of bummed because they are playing at home the day before my birthday and the day after. What are the odds they have an “at home” off day on my birthday.
Dear Jen,
I guess you need to extend your birthday to span three days. In fact, I think *everyone* should do that.

Hi k-bro,
I think a three day birthday celebration is a great idea. Alas, my birthday is during the off-season. I guess I can find other ways to celebrate it, though.
